Yahoo Mail Forwarding to Other Email Addresses
Yahoo Mail Forwarding – Recently, Judy wrote in and asked how she could forward all her incoming messages from her old yahoo mail account to her new business Gmail account. She wanted to get all her emails, notifications and alerts in one inbox. In summary, she wanted to forward her emails. To answer her question, I just might make a post out of it.
What is Email Forwarding?
Email forwarding simply means to re-send an email message that was originally delivered to an email address on to a different email address or to several email addresses. It can also mean that email messages that are sent to several different email addresses can be forwarded to end up in one email address inbox. You understand that right?
Okay, am going to talk yahoo mail forwarding and how to setup up one in your account.
- Go to the official Yahoo Mail Login Portal and enter your account details.
- Once you are in, hover your mouse over to the “Help” Icon. A drop down menu appears, scroll down to “Settings” and click.
- Go to the “Accounts” category and click. It is just below “Writing email” category.
- This will open up a run down list of all the email accounts, social networks and cloud storage services you can connect to. As we want to forward your yahoo mail messages, click on the “Yahoo box” as shown below.
- When this is done, an activity form will be presented to you. Here, you can change your name as shown in the emails you send, change your reply-to address, customize a signature to the emails you send and forward your mail to a specified email address. Since that’s the option we want, Scroll down to “Access your Yahoo Mail Elsewhere”. And do the following:
- Tick the small box.
- Enter the email address where you want your emails to be forwarded to.
- Choose whether the emails should be stored, forwarded or marked as read in your yahoo mail as it is being forwarded to your new email address.
- Click on “Verify”
As soon as you click on verify, an email will be sent to the email address where you want to have your emails sent to.
Open the email and click on the verification link provided there.
You will now be redirected back to yahoo where you will verify your email again and you are done.
So any email message that enters your yahoo mail account just does a touch down there before it is automatically shipped out to your forwarding address.
