FEASIBILITY OF DRINKING WATER BUSINESS IN CAMPUS III OF IMT ENUGU

A close study of the going business activities in our campuses particularly, campus III of the IMT Enugu had proved that the drinking water business is a lucrative business which yields returns to investment on it. Investors according to our research study have fully found out that useful and profitable to rate out any amount of money to sponsor the business at any length. They even went to some extent of buying sealing machine for the unemployed and ask  for return to their investment when time is due. More so, some investors who are not as financially buoyant or current as other could sponsor the work aspect while other employ distributors at this approaches, it is seen that investment decisions are becoming even wider and greater in the business shares.

Further ,ore, who knows that the management might rise up to do about this solid investment or water business the next season. We strongly believe however, that the management of IMT is working seriously towards the sponsorship of investment in the water business and the decision may be to have return on investment. Conclusively, apart from the above approaches to investment decision on the feasibility of drinking water business at campus III of Enugu-there are still others approached which out research team could not get enough data about .

2.2     FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS

On the feasibility of drinking water business in campus III of the IMT Enugu, our research team come out with certain data for analysis. In the first instance, they gave their opinion that since water as a universal solvent free from conferred ownership open to everyone to use it for either domestic purpose or improves on it hygienically for preservation and the further usage, on individual who is technologically up date has every right to embark on the business feasibility in its general terms also means the ability and capacity of something to be alone. It could also effective and efficient management of resources invested in anticipation of returns called profit. In this case, the feasibility of drinking water business in campus III of IMT Enugu means then that the business is open if one chooses and convenient since it is not a perishable item with relatively high risk. In the years gone by water, water was seen as a purely free gift of nature in abundance. Nobody ever bothered to see it as something which could yield money without involvement in the process in manufacture of other products. Today water has becomes a “Sine Gua non” (necessity) due to improve of technology advancement. Water now becomes a mark able commodity  all over the world. In the pre-colonial era, people usually go to their yellow human being and   ask for a glass of water or move without consequence but today, water has becomes as marketable as every other “man made goods” in the market place. Tanker lorries are found all over the rural areas in water business to people who have water tank in front of their various homes. Another form of water business is the researcher popularly called “well”. The poor usually buy form these source since the tap water in the tank is often more expensive.

2.4     IMT CAMPUS THREE

Campus III of the IMT is an extension of the administrative campus. Campus III solely for academic purpose for all form of academic programm at campus III of IMT Enugu are building and structure comfortable for lectures and other office for academic staff. Therefore are also other structures meant for the safe keeping of the school machine and equipments. Accommodation for male students are located at campus III just some kilometers away from Enugu state university of science and technology (ESUT). There is the student center popularly called “NKUTUM” where there are similar structure shops with different design by shop owners. At “NKUTUME” business activities goes on daily on school days. You can get whatever you want edible and material thing for ladies there too at Nkutume. Basically, this is the   area mostly set aside for business activities and relaxation for student  and staff were they can refresh themselves at campus III, there are other business set up at the back of Nkutume for typing out our documents there is also the photo business in front of engineering department in campus III of IMT Enugu where photographer are taken student at random.

2.5     DIFFERENT METHODS OF STUDYING THE PROBLEM.

In view of the findings and limitation of this research work, we have been restricted to area of study for easy data collection analysis. Our research work had been particularly at Nkutume shops where drinking water business is most prevalent. We also extended to top shop where sachet water is sold too. We have been able to gather some useful information from those engaged in the drinking water business through survey and to enable us apply the method of studying the problem and close examination  of their business activities. Our research also extended to the point facial review of question about feasibility of this drinking of water business such as:

–        May we know why you engage your self in this business?

–        Do this water in sachet undergo any screening

–        How many bags can you sell in a day and at what profit.

2.6     SUMMARY

As the topic demands in sum and the purpose of this research work within and enclosed visibility. Campus III of IMT Enugu was explored our other research team went to federal government secretariat. We also extended to a place like Enugu state university of science and technology (ESUT) which is just about a stone know from IMT campus III and examination development center, from these two places, we found out that data collected to be analyzed give almost the same information to the forgoing drinking water business in campus III of IMT.
