How to Change Your Yahoo Password

This article is designed to give you a step by step guide on how to change your yahoo password. Bear in mind that is process is not the same as recovering your yahoo password. The difference is that in “yahoo password recover”, you MUST have forgotten your password but in “changing yahoo password” you know your password but just want to change it maybe because reasons best known to you. These reasons may include that you suspect that an intruder has access to your account, OR that you willingly gave your account details to a friend or family member and now want to maintain your privacy.

Whatever be the reason for changing your password, just  follow the steps listed below:

Login into your Yahoomail.com account

Go to the Settings icon (top left) and scroll down to Account info and click on it.

When the page opens, click on Account Security.

When this opens, click on Change Password (Sometimes you will be taken back to verify your password again (Looks like the original login page) or you will go directly to where you will create a new yahoo password.

When you get there, input your new desired password. You will have to type it twice for verification purposes. For better security, make sure that your password is a combination of letters and numbers.

When you are done, click on Continue.

Wala! Your password has been changed. You will also receive an email from yahoo telling you that your yahoo password has recently been changed. The same message will be sent to other alternative email address you used while registering your yahoomail account.
